This Privacy Policy explains how Hamza Abdullah othman khalifa (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information of users of the following mobile applications available on Google Play, and of the website https://essafi.ly:

In this policy, “the Apps” means Essafi Driver and Essafi Client. Where a practice applies to only one app, we say so. By using either App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Both Apps

• Account details: name, phone number, email address, password, profile photo and gender.
• Trip information: pickup and drop-off locations, routes, times, distance, fare, payment method and trip status.
• Messages sent through in-app chat between riders, drivers and our support team.
• Ratings, feedback and support requests.
• Device information: device model, operating system version, app version, IP address, network type and push-notification token.
• Usage and diagnostic information such as crash logs and app interactions.

1.2 Essafi Driver only

• Date of birth and verification documents you upload, such as driving licence, national ID and vehicle registration.
• Vehicle details: make, model, colour and plate number.
• Payout information needed to pay you for completed trips.
• Precise location, including in the background: Essafi Driver collects your precise location data even when the app is closed or not in use, while you are online and available to receive rides. We use this data to match you with nearby riders, show your position to the rider during a trip, navigate to pickup and drop-off points, and calculate fares and distances. Location collection stops when you go offline. You can turn off location permission in your device settings at any time, but you will not be able to receive rides.

1.3 Essafi Client only

• Saved places, such as home and work addresses, and pickup and drop-off addresses you enter.
• Payment information. Card payments are handled by third-party payment processors, and we do not store your full card number.
• Precise location while the app is in use: we collect your precise location to set your pickup point, find nearby drivers, show trip progress and calculate fares. Essafi Client does not collect your location in the background when the app is not in use. You can turn off location permission and enter your pickup address manually.

1.4 Device permissions

We only access photos you choose to upload.

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account, and for drivers, to verify identity, licence and vehicle.
• To match riders with nearby drivers and show each party the other’s location during a trip.
• To calculate fares, process rider payments and refunds, and pay drivers for completed trips.
• To enable communication between riders, drivers and our support team.
• To send service notifications about rides, accounts and policy changes.
• To keep the service safe, prevent fraud and resolve disputes.
• To analyse and improve the Apps and fix errors.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Sharing your information

• Between riders and drivers: during an active trip, the rider sees the driver’s name, photo, vehicle details, rating and live location, and the driver sees the rider’s name, photo, rating, and pickup and drop-off locations.
• Service providers: companies that help us operate the Apps, including Google (Maps, Places, Firebase Realtime Database and cloud services) for maps, location sync and hosting, and payment processors to handle payments and payouts. They may only use your data to provide services to us.
• Legal reasons: when required by law, court order or government request, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users or of the developer.
• Business transfers: if the Apps are transferred to another owner as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on our servers at essafi.ly and on Google Firebase. Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and access is restricted to authorised staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use reasonable measures to protect your information.

5. Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. After you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep certain records (for example trip and payment records) to meet legal, tax, safety or dispute-resolution obligations.

6. Your rights and account deletion

You can access and update your profile information in the App. You may request a copy of your data, correction or deletion of your data, or withdraw consent at any time.

To delete your account and associated data, use the delete account option in the App or email unitedvisiondotnet@gmail.com from your registered email with the subject “Delete my Essafi Driver account” or “Delete my Essafi Client account”, including your registered phone number. We will process your request within 30 days.

7. Children’s privacy

Essafi Driver is intended only for adults aged 18 or over who hold a valid driving licence. Essafi Client is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with an updated date and, where appropriate, notify you in the Apps.
